  • Lead production and development for a new experimental series from Stitcher that employs audio diaries to illustrate the lived experiences of people in unique and difficult quarantine situations during COVID-19.

Story Editor + Executive Producer for a forthcoming documentary series

Director + Co-Writer of a 'based on a true story' audio drama that accompanies the documentary

July 2019 - February 2020

 

  • Developed the vision and narrative and journalistic direction for a forthcoming 8-part documentary series about the rise and fall of a pay-per-call phone sex empire in the 90s.

  • Lead the revision process from macro structural overhauls to fine line edits.

  • Hired, managed and supervised a team of reporters, producers, host, sound designer, etc.

  • Conceptualized a 'based on a true story' audio drama that would sit squarely in the middle of the series. The piece contextualizes and directly illustrates the perspective of the most marginalized characters in the documentary, ultimately finding a creative opportunity it would have otherwise been a deficit to the documentary as these marginalized people were critical to the story but difficult to find and reluctant to go on the record.

  • Co-wrote a narrative script based directly on the reporting; lead casting; lead the on-set production process as production manager; directed the actors performances; lead post-production in close collaboration with Brendan Baker.

Reporter for Queer City: A CNN Experience

April - June 2019

 

  • Reported and produced several audio and print stories for Queer City: A CNN Experience, an Official World Pride event that provided viewers with a uniquely intimate look at the everyday people behind landmark moments in New York City’s queer history. This free multimedia museum experience went beyond conventional LGBTQIA+ timelines to reveal the personal stories and artifacts that made up a movement, decade by decade, from the 1940s through today in New York City.
